How do the ends close?

Each end is a triangle hinged to the bottom panel. Fold the small dust flap in first, then swing the triangle up over the end and slide its tuck inside the side panel. The triangle is drawn with exactly the width of the panels, so it fills the end completely.

Is the size inside or outside?

Inside. The side you type is the inside of the triangle. The board has to turn three corners going round, so each panel is drawn a third of pi times the board thickness wider — on thin card that is a fraction of a millimetre, on 3 mm board it is three.

Will it print on one sheet?

Yes, at the size it opens with: a 50 mm triangle, 140 mm long, comes to about 167 × 234 mm and fits A4 and US Letter. Longer than about 190 mm and it will need a bigger sheet.

Can it stand on its end?

Yes — the ends are flat triangles, so a short, wide version stands up like a little tent box. Lay it on its base panel for the chocolate-bar look.

Print at 100% — never “fit to page”, or every measurement comes out wrong.
Too big for the paper? Tick Split across several sheets: it tiles across as many as it needs, with overlaps and matching letters to tape together.

How to put it together

These pictures are the triangular prism box itself, not a generic diagram — change the measurements above and the template changes, but the three steps never do.

Cut the solid lines
Every solid line is a cut. Do the inside shapes first, while the sheet is still whole and easy to hold.
Score every dashed line
Dashed lines are folds. Score each one first — an empty ballpoint against a ruler — or the card cracks along the outside of the bend.
Fold, glue and hold
Glue the tab to the inside of the far SIDE to make a three-sided tube. At each end, fold the dust flap in first, then close the END triangle over it and slide its tuck inside the other side.

Glue: a glue stick for paper, white PVA on card — hold each seam thirty seconds, and let the box dry standing up.
