Printing it
- Type your size above, then download the PDF.
- Print at 100% — never “fit to page”, or every measurement comes out wrong.
- Too big for the paper? Pick your paper size and leave Fit the pieces to the page ticked: each piece gets its own place on a sheet and the PDF comes out with every page in it, nothing cut in half and nothing to tape.
How to put it together
These pictures are the earring display card itself, not a generic diagram — change the measurements above and the template changes, but the three steps never do.
-
Cut the solid lines
Every solid line is a cut. Do the inside shapes first, while the sheet is still whole and easy to hold.
-
Try the first one
There is nothing to fold. Before you cut a stack, try the first one on what it is for and change the size above if it needs it.
-
Finish it
Print your brand on the card first, then cut out the cards and the hang holes. Pierce the small earring holes with a pin or an awl rather than cutting them. Push each stud through its hole and fit the back behind; hang hooks through from the front.
No glue needed.
Questions about the earring display card
- What size are the cards?
- The default card is 50 × 70 mm with square corners (set a corner radius to round them), two pairs of earrings 20 mm apart and a euro slot at the top, and nine fit on one A4 or US Letter sheet. Set the width, height and number of pairs to suit your earrings; the pairs are spread evenly down the card, at least 12 mm apart.
- What is a euro slot?
- The standard hang hole on shop packaging: a 25 mm slot 5 mm tall with a round rise in the middle, so the card hangs straight from any peg-board or slatwall hook. Choose a round hole instead for a ribbon or a single pin, or none for a card that stands in a box. On cards narrower than 37 mm the slot is narrowed to keep 6 mm of card at each side.
- How do I make the small earring holes?
- The holes are drawn 1.5 mm across, the size of a stud post. A cutting machine cuts them cleanly; by hand, pierce each one with a pin or an awl on a cutting mat rather than cutting it. Use card of 300 gsm or more so heavy earrings do not tear through.
Print your own design on it
Add a logo, photo or pattern in the panel on the left and drag it onto the earring display card. It is trimmed to the cut outline, embedded properly in the PDF, and never leaves your computer — most free template sites hand you the outline and stop there. How printing your own design works.
