Printing it
- Type your size above, then download the PDF.
- Print at 100% — never “fit to page”, or every measurement comes out wrong.
- Too big for the paper? Pick your paper size and leave Fit the pieces to the page ticked: each piece gets its own place on a sheet and the PDF comes out with every page in it, nothing cut in half and nothing to tape.
How to put it together
These pictures are the bunny box itself, not a generic diagram — change the measurements above and the template changes, but the steps never do. The names in capitals are the labels printed on the template.
-
Cut the solid lines
Every solid line is a cut. Do the inside shapes first, while the sheet is still whole and easy to hold.
-
Score every dashed line
Dashed lines are folds. Score each one first — an empty ballpoint against a ruler — or the card cracks along the outside of the bend.
-
Step by step
- Cut the outline and crease every dashed line.
- Glue the (glue) tab inside the last SIDE to make a tube.
- Fold the bottom flaps in and glue the two (glue) flaps over the others.
- Fill it. Crease the roof diagonals and push both SIDE panels in.
- Press the FRONT and BACK together at the top and glue the (seal) band and the ears back to back.
Glue: a glue stick for paper, white PVA on card — hold each seam thirty seconds, and let it dry before you use it.
Questions about the bunny box
What size is it?
The default box is 50 × 50 × 75 mm with 40 mm ears, and the whole carton is 214 × 194 mm flat, so it prints on A4 or US Letter landscape. Each ear is three tenths of the box wide.
How do the ears stay up?
Front and back each carry the same pair of ears above the top seal. Fold the roof closed and the two pairs meet; glue them back to back with the seal and they stand up stiff, twice as thick as the card.
How do I close it?
Glue the side seam and the bottom flaps first. Fill it, crease the roof diagonals firmly and push the two side panels in, then press the front and back together and glue the seal and the ears. Use 250 gsm card.
