The jewellery box template, flat and folded
What this template is for
A small lift-off lid box with an insert for the piece: a slotted cushion for a ring, a card with chain slits for a necklace, or a card with holes for stud earrings. Gifts, weddings, proposals and craft-fair jewellery.
Also called ring box · necklace box · earring box · jewelry box — all the same shape, and this is it.

Printing it
- Type your size above, then download the PDF.
- Print at 100% — never “fit to page”, or every measurement comes out wrong.
- Too big for the paper? Pick your paper size and leave Fit the pieces to the page ticked: each piece gets its own place on a sheet and the PDF comes out with every page in it, nothing cut in half and nothing to tape.
How to put it together
These pictures are the jewellery box itself, not a generic diagram — change the measurements above and the template changes, but the three steps never do.
-
Cut the solid lines
Every solid line is a cut. Do the inside shapes first, while the sheet is still whole and easy to hold.
-
Score every dashed line
Dashed lines are folds. Score each one first — an empty ballpoint against a ruler — or the card cracks along the outside of the bend.
-
Fold, glue and hold
Build the BASE and the LID the same way: fold the walls up and glue the corner tabs inside. RING: crease the cushion, glue its tab under the far edge to make a tube and push it into the base; the ring's band goes down into the slit. NECKLACE: lay the card in the base, hook the chain into the two slits and push the pendant's loop through the hole. EARRINGS: push each stud through a hole and close it behind with its back. Put the lid on.
Glue: a glue stick for paper, white PVA on card — hold each seam thirty seconds, and let the box dry standing up.
Questions about the jewellery box
- How does the ring stay up?
- The ring cushion is a tube of card that fills the base, with a slit along its top. Push the ring’s band down into the slit and it stands upright, the stone facing up.
- How is the necklace held?
- The necklace card lies in the base. The chain hooks into two slits at its top corners, and the pendant’s loop goes through the hole in the middle so it hangs straight.
- Does the lid fit?
- The lid is cut bigger than the base by twice the board thickness plus the clearance you set, so it slides on without binding.
- Will it print on one sheet?
- Yes. At the size it opens with, 60 × 60 × 35 mm, the base, lid and insert print on one A4 or US Letter sheet.
Print your own design on it
Add a logo, photo or pattern in the panel on the left and drag it onto the jewellery box. It is trimmed to the cut outline, embedded properly in the PDF, and never leaves your computer — most free template sites hand you the outline and stop there. How printing your own design works.
